Forgotten Man Utd star snubs FA Cup final triumph against City and decides to attend music concert instead

FORGOTTEN star Donny van de Beek snubbed Manchester United’s FA Cup triumph for a CONCERT in Amsterdam.

The £40million Dutchman, 27, featured just twice this season under Erik ten Hag before being packed off to Eintracht Frankfurt in January.

Van de Beek hoped to rediscover his old Ajax form with the German side, having failed to impress on loan at Everton two years ago.

But the midfielder was only able to feature in eight matches for the Bundesliga side.

And Frankfurt rejected the chance to make his stay permanent after snubbing a clause for just £9.5million.

Van de Beek is now technically back at United after the German league campaign ended a week ago.

However, he did not link up with his parent club for their big day at Wembley.

The Red Devils beat Man City 2-1 to win their second trophy in as many years under Ten Hag.

And the result also saw them secure Europa League football while also setting up a Community Shield tie against City in August.

But Van de Beek was not present in London on Saturday as teammates partied into the night.

Instead, he opted to attend a music concert in Amsterdam at Ajax’s Johan Cruijff Arena.

Van de Beek was all smiles as he dressed in tropical attire for the event ‘Toppers in Concert – Club Tropicana Edition’.

The Dutch band are popular in their homeland and urged fans to wear “coconut white with a tropical twist” for the “ultimate Summer Beach Party.”

Van de Beek posed for several snaps as he soaked up the atmosphere.

And he did not appear to be missing the party back home as United ended their season on a massive high.

But it remains to be seen if Ten Hag remains in charge after being tipped for the axe.

Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel, Thomas Frank and Kieran McKenna have all been touted as possible replacements.

And Ten Hag issued a defiant message to United’s owners before partying with his players.

The tactician said: “Two trophies in two seasons and three finals. That’s not bad.

“If they don’t want me any more I go somewhere else to win trophies. That is what I do.”

He added: “I am here to win and I want to build a team. My whole managerial career I have won games and trophies.”

As for the success he has brought to Old Trafford compared to those before him, he said: “When you see the last decade, there were not so many finals and trophies for this club.”
