Pickford, 30, screamed and pumped his arms to the Three Lions faithful.

And plenty of viewers had their say on social media,

Jamie Carragher simply tweeted Pickford’s name followed by four crying laughing emojis.

A fan said: “Pickford seems determined as always.”

Another added: “He’s a top-notch goalkeeper, England are in good hands.”

A third wrote: “I hope he delivers.”

England took the lead through Jude Bellingham.

Incredibly, Harry Kane had not even touched the ball when the playmaker headed home after 13 minutes.

Bellingham got involved in a skirmish with Serbia’s Filip Kostic during the first half.

The midfielder bumped into Kostic after a 50-50 challenge.

Following the tackle by the touchline, the adrenaline-fuelled Real Madrid star raised his hands to pump up the crowd.

He then turned into Kostic, bumping him hard in the chest with his shoulder.

The Juventus ace did not take kindly to the incident and could be seen having a pop at Bellingham as he walked off.
