However, ever since you married that woman, her dreams have disappeared;
Her plans and dreams have gone with the wind;
Her ego is only ‘my children this…my children that’;
she was the best in her class but now she’s just in charge of your cooking pot;
if she buys a house you go vex;
If she talks to unmarried friends, you slap her;
If she talks to any man, you threaten divorce;
if she sends money to her father, you go beat am;
she has no money to her name;
no rest from house chores or child care;
relocation everyday, today Abuja…tomorrow Lagos….next week Ghana;
Yet you admire Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and her exploits, meanwhile someone better is under your roof. But you killed her destiny with your low self esteem and backward ideas about women.
