Nine players who could still leave Chelsea this summer and recoup £156million after Todd Boehly’s summer transfer spree

CHELSEA could yet see NINE more players leave the club before the end of the transfer window.

And owner Todd Boehly can expect to receive around £156million if they get rid of all those players.

The Blues are eager to see Romelu Lukaku depart as there appears to be no place for him at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian, 30, has been linked with a return to Inter Milan, as well as Juventus and Tottenham.

Should he leave, Chelsea are set to take a huge hit on the £97.5m they paid for him – with a mooted fee in the region of £35m.

Hakim Ziyech is closing in on an £8m move to Galatasaray, while Newcastle are eyeing up a deal for defender Marc Cucurella.

The ex-Brighton man may leave on loan, but a fee of around £30m could entice Chelsea to agree a permanent transfer.

West Ham saw a £40m offer rejected for Conor Gallagher last month, but the arrivals of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia may now see them accept that sum.

Trevoh Chalobah and Malang Sarr are two unwanted centre-backs who could fetch Chelsea up to £20m between them.

Mauricio Pochettino already has a host of central defensive options including Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, and the injured Wesley Fofana.

Nine Chelsea players that could still depart in the summer transfer window

Dutch left-back Ian Maatsen has made just two Blues appearances since joining in 2019 and could leave for around £10m, with fellow defender Lewis Hall also a potential £8m exit.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is also preparing to move across West London as Fulham close in on a deal approaching the £5m mark.

And there could yet be even more departures as the Evening Standard understand Pochettino wants a 22-man squad.

With the arrivals of Lavia and Michael Olise expected over the coming days, that would take them to 35 players.

Aside from the nine stars mentioned above, the likes of Eddie Beach, Andrey Santos and Lesley Ugochukwu could leave on loan in a bid to trim the squad.

Chelsea began life under Pochettino with a 1-1 draw at home to Liverpool on Sunday.

Next up for the Blues is a Premier League clash away at West Ham this weekend.
