Champions League supercomputer predicts Arsenal will BEAT Bayern Munich but what are their chances of lifting trophy?

A SUPERCOMPUTER predicts that Arsenal will beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals – but WON’T go on to win it.

The Gunners will have a chance to get revenge on the German giants after their 10-2 embarrassment against them in 2017.

Arsenal have faced Bayern 12 times since 2000 and have lost seven times.

But statisticians at BETSiE have used their supercomputer to guess the outcomes of the Champions League.

They have simulated matches 100,000 times and believe Mikel Arteta’s side have a 51.51 per cent chance of beating Bayern.

Arsenal will play the winner of Manchester City versus Real Madrid in the semi-final.

And the algorithm reckons that they have a 25.75 per cent probability of making the final at Wembley.

They have handed Arsenal a 14.11 per cent probability of going all the way and lifting the trophy.

Man City supposedly have 59.76 per cent chance of victory in their glamour tie against Real Madrid in a repeat of last season’s semi-final.

Pep Guardiola’s men have the highest probability of winning the competition, with the chance of them making it back-to-back triumphs rated at 31.86 per cent.

They’re the heavy favourite to make it out their half of the draw and have a 48.18 per cent probability of making the final.

On the other side of the tournament, Atletico Madrid face Borussia Dortmund and PSG clash with Barcelona.

The Parisians are the favourites as they have a 25.48 per cent chance of making the final and a 10.96 per cent of ending their wait to seal a Champions League crown.
