He watched on as his son Erling and City were beaten 2-1 by their bitter rivals.

Haaland was also mocked by rival supporters as he stood on a train.

In a video shared to social media, United fans can be seen chanting about former captain Keane in Haaland’s direction.

Supporters were filmed singing: “Oh Keano’s f***ing magic, he wears a magic hat,’ Man United fans could be heard singing.

“He signed for Man United, cos they’re f***ing dynamite.”

Haaland let out a wry smile in response before shaking his head and turning away from the chants.

The Norwegian’s heated rivalry with Keane stems from a 1997 clash between United and Leeds.

Keane was mocked by Haaland after rupturing his cruciate ligament, with the Leeds man standing over him and accusing his opponent of feigning injury.

Their rivalry came to a head four years later after Haaland had joined City, with the pair meeting in a Manchester derby.

His career was all but ended after Keane raked his studs down Haaland’s leg.

Although he would play again, he featured just four times as a substitute before retiring in 2003 aged 30.

Keane has continued the rivalry this season with his criticism of Erling Haaland.

He even compared the City forward to a “League Two player” after their 0-0 draw with Arsenal in March.
