Who is England midfielder Jordan Nobbs?
Jordan Nobbs was born on December 8, 1992 in Stockton-on-Tees, England.
Jordan’s dad Keith was a defender for a number of English teams, mainly Hartlepool United, and was known for his no-nonsense approach.
The apple didn’t fall far from the tree as Jordan was kicking anything in sight as soon as she could walk.
She took part in the under-10s league, playing alongside boys, and joined the Sunderland centre of excellence when she was eight.
Jordan was soon playing for England and captained the youth team, helping the under-19 side to win the European trophy.
What teams has Jordan Nobbs played for?
Jordan has played for a number of teams in her career, including two Super League sides.
She moved from the youth Sunderland team into their senior team in 2008, moving to Super League team Arsenal in 2010.
Most recently, Jordan was signed to Aston Villa in January 2023.
On February 12, she scored a hat trick in an away game against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Outside of this league, she plays in the England women’s national team.
How long has Jordan Nobbs played for England?
Jordan made her England debut in March 2013 in Cyrprus, scoring her first goal for England in their match against Italy in March.
Jordan was also selected for the team for the 2015 World Cup but only played one game due to an injury.
However, she was ruled out of the selection for the 2019 Women’s World Cup after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament in November 2018.
She also missed out on being selected for the women’s Olympic football team for the 2020 Olympics.
Further injuries led Jordan to be left out of the winning 2022 Women’s Euros squad when she suffered a knee ligament strain.
However, Jordan has been selected for the 2023 Fifa Women’s Squad in July 2023, and will play for her tenth year in the squad.
