Tottenham ‘considering shock transfer move for ARSENAL striker’ to replace Harry Kane with Gunners demanding £47.5m

TOTTENHAM are considering a move for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun, according to reports.

The club is searching for a Harry Kane replacement following his transfer to Bayern Munich.

Richarlison led the line against Brentford but Ange Postecoglou is keen to add more firepower to his attack.

Balogun, 22, is free to leave Arsenal this summer but only for the right price.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport Spurs want the USA international but will have to match the Gunners’ £47.5million valuation.

Tottenham will also have to fend off interest from Inter Milan who view Balogun as the perfect replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

French side Monaco are hopeful of signing the striker too after he scored 21 Ligue Un goals for Stade Reims last season.

His performances also earned him a first call-up from the USA after switching his international allegiance from England.

Monaco have already had two bids rejected, with their latest proposal knocked back last week.

Balogun is open to leaving the Emirates this summer as he feels he has proved he can play at the top level.

When asked about his future, he said: “I went away and the point was to prove I could play first team football.

“I feel I was able to do that and show people I can play at that level.

“With me coming back it’s not really much of a situation where I need to try extra hard to prove something.

“It’s a decision that’s not really with me.

“Whatever happens I’m cool with it.”
