In a seismic shift aimed at revitalizing government operations, President Bola Tinubu has given the green light to a strategic deployment of 24 federal permanent secretaries across key Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

Among the notable changes, Dr. Evelyn Ngige emerges as a linchpin in the transformation, steering the helm of both the Federal Ministry of Arts and Culture and Creative Economy, and the Federal Ministry of Tourism, following her redeployment from the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

The reshuffling continues with Dr. Magdalene Ajani’s move from the Transportation Ministry to assume a role in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), succeeding the retiring Mr. Olusade Adesola. In a domino effect, Mr. Oloruntola Olufemi steps into Ajani’s former position, transitioning from the Service Policies and Strategies Office (SPSO) OHCSF.

The redeployment saw Jafiya Lydia Shehu embarks on a new chapter, transitioning from the Common Service Office (CSO), OHCSF to the challenging terrain of the Federal Ministry of Finance.

James Sule undergoes a strategic realignment, shifting from the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology to channel his expertise towards the pressing matters of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

Yakubu Adam Kofamata, previously stationed at the Federal Civil Service Commission, finds himself at the heart of the Federal Ministry of Power, a move that underscores the president’s commitment to optimizing bureaucratic prowess.

President Tinubu’s reshuffle also brings fresh air to five permanent secretaries appointed last November. Rimi Nura Abba spearheads the charge at the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, while Ella Nicholas Agbo embarks on a new chapter in the dynamic landscape of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.

Watti Tinuke assumes the mantle at the Federal Ministry of Sports and Development, succeeding Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar. Ahmed Dunoma Umar takes charge at the Federal Ministry of Youth, bringing renewed vigor to youth-centric initiatives. Ndayako Aishetu Gogo, the new Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Interior, is poised to navigate the intricate realm of internal affairs.

This sets the stage further as three new permanent secretaries—Adeoye Ayodeji, Bako Deborah Odoh, and Omachi Omenka—await their assignments, promising an ongoing move for institutional rejuvenation and strategic alignment.
