PDP Jittery As Wike Ignores Chieftains In Project Inaugurations

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are jittery as the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike fails to invite chieftains in the party to inaugurate projects in his state.

Governor Wike has ignored the chieftains of his party in the line on inaugurating some of the completed projects by his administration.

This is the first in a long time that the former presidential aspirant would not invite top members of the PDP to commission projects.

Governor Wike in the programme scheduled to start on Monday invited leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the inauguration.

The PDP Governor invited his counterpart in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to inaugurate the Orochiri-Worukwo flyover.

A former Governor of Sokoto State would be in the State on Tuesday to inaugurate the Ogbum-Nu-Abali Eastern Bypass dualised road.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila was invited to inaugurate the House of Assembly quarters on Friday, while former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko would commission the dualisation of Azikiwe Illoabuchi Road.

The main opposition party has been expressing crisis following the decision of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to pick the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.
