Nick Kyrgios pulls out of US Open as fears grow for former Wimbledon finalist who has played once all year
NICK KYRGIOS has withdrawn from the US Open in New York as fears grow about his tennis future.
The Australian, 28, has only played once on the ATP Tour since last October and not appeared at any of the four majors this year.

The world no 92 cited a wrist ligament injury for pulling out of Wimbledon the night before the Championships began.
And in January he failed to make the main draw of the Australian Open in Melbourne as he underwent a drainage procedure on his left knee.
There is no timescale on his return and though he is signed up for various money-spinning exhibitions, Kyrgios will have to use protected ranking status to play competitively at the top level.
Kyrgios was joined on the exit list by Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany.
The pair have been replaced at Flushing Meadows by Argentines Facundo Diaz Acosta and Diego Schwartzman.
Just last month Kyrgios revealed there was “No f***ing chance” he would play well into his 30s like legends Novak Djokovic, Rafa Nadal and now-retired Roger Federer.
The one-time world no13 blamed his “drinking and partying” lifestyle.
Speaking at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in Los Angeles, Kyrgios said: “No f***ing chance. No way. Bro, there’s no chance I’m playing until 33.

“Kyrgios playing until 33 is insane. I’m not playing until 33. Nah, I promise you, when I’m gone, you’ll never see me again.
“The schedule is out of control. I’m getting old, I’m getting old.
“Twenty-eight, yeah – but all the drinking and partying, I’m like 57.”
