Neal Maupay branded ‘such a villain’ as he fires dig at ex-Arsenal star Aubameyang after rows with Maddison and Walker

BRENTFORD striker Neal Maupay has taken a swipe at former Arsenal and Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in yet another outburst.

The Frenchman, 27, is known for winding up opposition players and has made headlines in recent weeks for two separate on-field incidents with Tottenham’s James Maddison and Manchester City’s Kyle Walker.

But his latest trash talk came in a social media for Brentford‘s official TikTok account.

Maupay was tasked with blind ranking 10 footballers, meaning he would have to place each in a position without knowing who was coming next.

He had already dug out the likes of Michael Owen and Victor Osimhen by putting them ninth and 10th respectively.

But when Aubameyang then appeared, the ex-Brighton man could not resist a savage dig.

With just the top three spots remaining, he said: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, oh my god. Can I put him 11? No, I can’t.

“Ok, so no hard feelings, but I put you three.”

Aubameyang, who now plays for Marseille, scored 92 goals in 163 games for Arsenal, before he later netted three times in 21 matches for Chelsea.

Reacting to Maupay’s slam on Aubameyang, one fan replied: “Biggest wind-up in football.”

While another added: “Maupay is such a villain – I’m a big fan of your work sir.”

And a third said: “Just making everyone his enemy.”

Maupay ended up putting Erling Haaland at No1, before he immediately regretted it when Andres Iniesta appeared as the final player.

Yet his criticism of Aubameyang is not even close to his most controversial behaviour of the last few weeks.

Last month, Maupay became embroiled in an on-field tangle with Spurs playmaker Maddison after imitating his dart celebration during Brentford’s 3-2 defeat to Ange Postecoglou’s side.

The pair then took to social media to continue trading insults at one another.

Then on Monday, Maupay got himself in another scrape with Man City man Walker.

A lip reader has since claimed Walker threatened to “knock out” The Bees star after he “spoke about his children”.
