Masters final between Ronnie O’Sullivan and Ali Carter STOPPED due to bizarre technical blunder

THE MASTERS final was stopped due to a bizarre technical blunder on the table.

Ronnie O’Sullivan was taking on Ali Carter in the final of the tournament at Ally Pally.

The Masters final was stopped due to a broken pocket

The Rocket was going for his eighth Masters crown but the match had to be stopped while Carter was 3-2 ahead.

This was because the ‘shoot’ that collects a potted ball under a corner pocket broke.

A technician was sent out to repair it while O’Sullivan and Carter had to wait.

The stars did not have long to wait as the repairman managed to fix the shoot in just two minutes.

The crowd showed their appreciation to him as they applauded him off the stage.

Viewers were also impressed as they took to social media.

One viewer posted: “I would have milked that applause if I was him though.”

A second commented: “That took seconds. Well done Sir!”
