Man Utd’s Glazer family ‘are going to announce staggering £7.3BILLION takeover’, claims football club chairman
THE GLAZERS are going to announce the sale of Manchester United at a staggering £7.3billion, according to Mehmet Dalman.
The Cardiff City chairman claims the valuation of football clubs has gone through the roof.

He has spoken to US private equity funds and the influence of American investors is driving up the price of clubs in the Premier League and Championship.
Dalman claims second-tier clubs like Cardiff are valued at three times their revenue, meaning the Bluebirds could now be sold for £100million, rather than a previous valuation of just £20m.
He said: “I’ve been meeting a lot with US private equity funds and the valuation of football clubs is going through the roof.
“Americans are determined to come into this market quite heavily.
“I spoke to the owners of Leeds when we were there, and Championship clubs are valued at three times their revenue, give or take.
“Manchester United are going to announce their sale at £7.2bn-7.3bn, which is roughly 10 times their revenue.
“Two or three years ago, we might have been talking about selling Cardiff for about £20m or £30m but now you’re going to have to look at £90m or £100m.
“Valuations [of Championship clubs] have all stretched.
“In terms of the money burned, you have a better chance of getting it back in this environment than you ever have before.
“Over the last two years [Cardiff owner] Vincent [Tan] became quite depressed at the way results went for us. If we can reawaken this, I think he’ll be rejuvenated.

“If we’re in the top 10 at Christmas I think you’ll see a very interested Vincent Tan.
“I really hope it happens for him because he deserves to recoup some of his investment.
“Right now, there is no such discussion [about selling Cardiff] but if someone wants to talk to me, come and talk to me.
“We need to succeed on the pitch to get revenue into this football club. There’s a feelgood factor about it at the moment. I’m enjoying that.”
However there has been very little progress on the Man Utd takeover front since Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar were announced as the preferred bidders.
Both parties are believed to have offered in excess of £5bn and the delay in selling has prompted the United Supporters’ Trust to take action.
The fans group issued a statement on Sunday warning the owners discontent will grow if they do not sell up soon.
The statement reads: “As time goes on this feels less like a sale process and more like the Glazer family is holding Manchester United and its fans hostage.
“The united message of fans is clear: sell the club. And if they do not intend to do so, at least have the courage to say that and explain what the charade of the last nine months has been about.
“On the pitch, there is clear progress at United and the whole fanbase is behind Erik ten Hag and the team.
“But off it, the discontent about the ownership and the sale process has not gone away and will only escalate now the new season has arrived.”
