Man Utd ‘open to ANY Jadon Sancho transfer offer’ with £73m star’s Red Devils career ’90 per cent over’

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly “open to any transfer offer in January” for Jadon Sancho with his Red Devils career “90 per cent over”.

The England international arrived at Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund for £73m back in 2021 but he has struggled to impress.

He and boss Erik ten Hag then had a public fall-out after the winger, 23, was left out of the matchday squad against Arsenal on September 3.

Sancho claimed he was being made a “scapegoat” by his manager after his performances in training were criticised in a post-match interview by the Dutchman.

Crisis talks took place as United chiefs tried to intervene to strike a peace deal but Sancho refused to apologise to Ten Hag for his explosive comments on social media.

He was demoted to the youth team and banned from using the senior side’s facilities.

A number of clubs have been linked with a swoop to sign him as we revealed how he had been offered a fresh career lifeline after a team from a third league joined the transfer chase.

Sides from the Turkish Super Lig have now entered the mix to join the list of those keen from Germany and Italy.

Now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on the situation during an appearance on his Daily Briefing podcast.

He said: “I think they [United] know at the moment that it’s not going to be a permanent transfer, that could be a loan deal with a buy option included.

“So, I think in January that they will be open to any opportunity of course.

“Of course, they would prefer a permanent transfer, that would be perfect to have their money back after what they spent on Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

“But, at the moment, they know in January to find a top class club in Europe prepared to pay, and this is my opinion and not the official price, somewhere between £50m-£55m is not going to be easy. So we will have to see what happens there.”

However, he also added that his time at Old Trafford is almost certainly over as he drew comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.

Romano added: “At the moment, the people from Manchester United is very clear. It looks like it’s 90 per cent over between Jadon Sancho and Man United.

“We keep a 10 per cent because we know that anything can happen in football, but as of today, it reminds us of the situation with Cristiano Ronaldo one year ago.

“The feeling is that Jadon has to find a new club in the January transfer window.”
