Man Utd in straight race with Euro giants for Croatian wonderkid, 16, as Barcelona and Chelsea drop out of contention

MANCHESTER UNITED are interested in signing teenage sensation Dino Klapija, according to reports.

The 16-year-old centre-forward is making a name for himself with Croatian side NK Kustosija.

Manchester United target Dino Klapija

He has played at international level for Croatia’s youth side.

And he was also recently called up for USA’s U17 team – with America being the country of his birth.

Klapija has attracted interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs.

According to The Mail, they include AC Milan, Juventus, Barcelona and Chelsea.

But it is now understood to be a straight shoot-out between Man Utd and RB Leipzig as the other teams have dropped out of the race.

Both sides are willing to pay a £5million fee to acquire the wonderkid.

But a major consideration for the youngster is the environment his chosen club can create for him.

Klapija’s family want to ensure he settles comfortably wherever he ends up and that he can continue his education.

And the American-born forward is not the only teenager Man Utd are in the market for.

They are also reportedly interested in Leeds winger Finley Gorman.

The playmaker, who is just 14 years of age, is receiving interest from a number of clubs including United’s bitter rivals Man City.
