Insecurity: Navy Announces Plan To Deploy More Logistics, Manpower To Imo

The Nigerian Navy has promised to deploy more manpower and logistics to Imo State to deal with insecurity challenges in the state.

The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, disclosed this on Thursday (today) during his familiarization visit to the state.

Naija News reports that Ogalla and members of his entourage were received today at the Imo State Government House by Governor Hope Uzodimma.

Speaking during the visit, the Navy boss commended the Imo State governor for all the support given to the Nigerian Navy with the cordial relationships between the government, the Navy, and the people of Imo.

Ogalla said the welfare of the Nigerian Navy by the state government has motivated them to put in their best in the discharge of their duties. The Chief of Naval Staff promised that the navy would deploy additional manpower and logistics to Imo State, in particular, with a view to dealing with known flash points that constitute security challenges in the area, particularly on the sea routes and surrounding Rivers.

In his remark, Governor Uzodinma guaranteed his government’s continuous support to the security agencies in the state.

He said that the shared prosperity government will continue to provide a good working environment and logistics to help restore the dignity of Ndi Imo.
