How to win £500 on day one of Cheltenham Festival with Templegate’s Lucky 15

THE wait is nearly over for day one of Cheltenham Festival – and our top tipster has picked out a monster Lucky 15 he thinks has a right chance.

All the horses are single-figure odds and one even looks absolutely chucked in based on his French form.

Il Etait Temps could go in on day one of CheltenhamSportsfile

Another is a Grade 1 winner last time out at the red-hot Dublin Racing Festival.

While Templegate’s even managed to find a good chance of a winner for a British trainer!

It might sound too good to be true but there’s no way all these shorties at the head of the markets win.

Templegate’s day one Lucky 15

IL ETAIT TEMPS (4-1 Arkle)

Was impressive when winning the Irish version of this race last time and he enjoys his visits to Cheltenham.

You can be as confident as possible with this horse ante-post because trainer Willie Mullins confirmed he is all about the 2m novice chase.

Danny Mullins was brilliant on him last time out and the two look to have struck up a nice partnership.

THE GOFFER (6-1 Ultima)

Ran a cracker when fourth in a high-class renewal of this race 12 months ago and can go close again.

Kept his eye in for this by winning a 2m charity race at Punchestown last month and looks to be weighted well for trainer Gordon Elliott.

MILAN TINO (7-1 Boodles)

We’ve yet to see the best of him and he was a solid third behind Sir Gino here last time out.

This French raider caught the eye after being a mark 10lb lower than his rating over the Channel.

JP McManus absolutely loves a plot job and this horse screams of being laid out for this race.

KILBEG KING (9-1 National Hunt Chase)

Hold on what do we have here? A possible British winner?

Anthony Honeyball has done a great job minding this lightly-raced nine-year-old.

The line came just too soon for him at Ascot last time and this challenge should be right up his street.

A 10p Lucky 15 would pay £520
