Graham Potter SNUBS chance to take over at European giants as former Chelsea boss leaves door open to Man Utd job
GRAHAM POTTER has reportedly turned down the chance to manage European giants Ajax.
The former Chelsea and Brighton boss is said to have turned down the opportunity after being named as the number one target for the Dutch club.

It’s said that Potter had been in discussion with senior officials at the club with a view to replacing under-performing manager John van ‘t Schip in Amsterdam.
But Sky Sports have claimed that the 48-year-old has decided to turn down the opportunity and is not interested in taking up the role as Ajax manager at this time.
Ajax have had a turbulent season and are currently struggling behind the pack in the Eredivisie in sixth place.
Their season hit a new low at the weekend when they suffered a 6-0 defeat to rivals Feyenoord.
Potter himself has been out of a job since April of last year when he was sacked by Chelsea after seven months in charge at Stamford Bridge.
His snub comes amid rumours linking him with a return to Premier League management with Manchester United understood to be considering him as one of their potential replacements for Erik ten Hag.
Potter appears to be keeping the door open for a return to England’s top flight with the manager said to be ready to return to the dugout when the right opportunity arises.
He has already turned down the chance to manage both French club Lyon and the Swedish national team during his time away from the technical area.

And Potter is also understood to have held talks with a number of top clubs regarding potential managerial roles.
A return to the Premier League with Manchester United could be an ideal role for Potter.
During his time at Brighton he worked alongside incoming United sporting director Dan Ashworth – helping the Seagulls cement themselves as a top-half Premier League team.
For now though there is no guarantee that Ten Hag will be losing his job at Old Trafford with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos keeping him in place for the time being.
The Dutch manager – who formerly took charge of Ajax himself – has done enough to remain at the helm of the club at least until the end of the season.
While Ratcliffe and other bigwigs at United are said to have a list of potential candidates who could replace Ten Hag when the time comes.
Potter could be competing with the likes of Gareth Southgate and Roberto De Zerbi for the job.
