Fans Call For Sky Sports To Hire Singing Argentine Commentator After Brilliant Melody To Calvert-Lewin Goal

FANS have hailed an Argentinian commentator for bursting into song after Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored for Everton.

The striker equalised with an 88th minute penalty against Newcastle to make it 1-1.

And ESPN commentator Bambino Pons seemed overjoyed that Calvert-Lewin rescued a vital point for the Toffees.

He initially shouted “goal”, extending the word for six seconds.

Pons then bizarrely begun singing Italian folk song Bella Ciao and incorporated Calvert-Lewin’s name into the chorus.

He sung: “Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Ciao, Ciao.

“Dominic… Calvert-Lewin… it’s a goal for Everton.

“For Dominic, for Dominic, for Dominic, Dominic, Dominic, nic, nic.”

Fans found it hilarious and some even want him to lead Sky Sports‘ coverage.

One said: “Official petition for singing commentators please.”

Another added: “Sensational.”

A third commented: “This has to be Calvert-Lewin’s new chant.”

Pons has a long history of singing after Premier League goals fly in.

He previously gave a rendition of Eye of the Tiger when Paul Scholes found the back of the net for Manchester United, chanting “Goal de Scholes”.

And after Kevin Phillips scored for Southampton, he added his name to Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones.
