Darts sensation Luke Littler, 17, reveals he’s made HUGE lifestyle change in bid to ‘look after himself’

DARTS sensation Luke Littler has revealed he has given up late-night kebabs.

He was famed for scoffing the fast food last month as he became the youngest player to reach the PDC World Darts Championship final aged 16.

His local takeaway, Hot Spot in Warrington, offered him free kebabs for life after his fantastic run and even named one after him — the Luke The Nuke Special.

But Luke, now 17, said that as a professional player he is ditching the late-night grub such as kebabs and burgers to look after himself.

He said of takeaways: “It’s not seen as a good thing.

Darts players get what we want, really.”

On when he started the professional tour, he said: “My manager said, ‘When you finish, it could be 11 or 12, it’s all fast food.’ So I’ve got to look after myself, eat before I play. When I’ve finished, even if I stay up to whenever, I just won’t eat. This is my new way of living.”

He told The Times magazine he wanted to stay fit to keep up the gruelling routine, adding: “I love darts, and it’s going to be like this for ten, 15 years.”

During an interview with The Times, it was put to the ace that his final appearance at the World Championships would be in 2065 should he continue until he is the same age as Phil Taylor.

That led to Littler replying: “I’ve been playing a long time in the juniors, in the old British Darts Federation.

“I might just do ten or fifteen years and retire, if I’ve had enough.”

That means that he could be done and dusted by the age of 27.

However, for now he was delighted after penning the deal with Target Darts.
