Wimbledon spygate scandal as Carlos Alcaraz’s dad is accused of secretly filming Novak Djokovic’s practice sessions
CARLOS ALCARAZ says his dad was ‘probably’ filming one of Novak Djokovic’s training sessions but insisted: It doesn’t give me an edge.
Serbian media claimed a member of Alcaraz’s team — believed to be his father — was caught recording Djok going through his paces at Wimbledon’s practice HQ over the weekend.

The Spaniard, 20, may end up meeting Djokovic, 36, in a blockbuster singles final on Sunday.
And Alcaraz moved a step closer to that happening by beating Dane Holger Rune 7-6 6-4 6-4 in the last eight.
Yet when asked about the Spygate claim, the world No. 1 said: “Oh, probably it is true.
“My father is a huge fan of tennis. He doesn’t only watch my matches.
“I think he gets into the Club at 11am, gets out at 10pm, watching matches, watching practice from everyone.
“To be able to watch Djokovic in real life, yeah, probably it’s true he’s filmed the sessions.”
Asked if such a tactic gave Alcaraz a competitive advantage, he said: “I don’t think so.
“I mean I have a lot of videos from Djokovic on every platform.”

Speaking in general, Serb star Djokovic — aiming for a record-equalling eighth crown — is not happy with the lack of ‘privacy’ while training at Wimbledon’s Aorangi Park.
He said: “The fact is that you are not completely relaxed in training, because you know that your rivals are there, too.
“That everyone is watching over your shoulder what is happening and what you are working on.
“This content could contribute to certain analyses and preparations, which would affect the outcome of an eventual match-up with — well, Alcaraz — or anyone else.”
Alcaraz did not need a spy tape to beat former doubles partner Rune in front of Queen Camilla and England cricket captain Ben Stokes.
He will be the favourite to see off Russian Daniil Medvedev in tomorrow’s semi, too. Alcaraz added: “It’s a dream to play the semi-final here.
“I can’t believe I’m in this position in just a short period. It’s crazy.”
