‘Wike, Tinubu Initially Slated To Meet In Spain’

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State were supposed to meet in Spain.

According to This Day, the duo were initially slated to meet in Spain but current realities with respect to Tinubu’s itinerary could not make that possible.

Sources told the newspaper that the two leaders resorted to meeting in France, where the APC presidential candidate was holding strategic meetings in furtherance of his presidential aspiration.

However, at the time of filing this report, Naija News could not confirm whether the meeting had indeed taken place.

Recall that the Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sewage and Drainage, Joe Igbokwe in a now-deleted post claimed that Wike had travelled to France to meet with Tinubu.

The post had raised thoughts that Governor Wike might not be supporting the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

Igbokwe in his reaction on Thursday afternoon had written, “While they are on social media abusing everybody, Governor Wike goes to France to meet Asiwaju. Abuse, calling names, hate, and bigotry are no strategies. They hated and abused PMB (President Muhammadu Buhari) since 2015 and now they have transferred the aggression to Asiwaju. We wait and see.”

At the time of filing this report, the post has been pulled down by Igbokwe.
