Wike Reacts To Makinde’s Victory, Congratulates Sanwo-Olu, Mohammed
The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has congratulated Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on his 2023 re-election victory.
Wike also congratulated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Senator Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State on their victories at the polls.
The Rivers State Governor described the elections as free and fair, adding that the processes spoke volumes of the country’s advancing democracy.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri.
The Governor said: “I am excited by the cheering news of the resounding re-election of governors Makinde, Mohammed and Sanwo-Olu. I am pleased to express to Your Excellencies the most sincere fraternal congratulations.
“I look forward to us consolidating the bonds of brotherhood and friendship between our States and peoples.”
Wike urged the governors to use their second terms in office to create a better life, and prosperity for all their people.
