Why Yorubas Are Finding It Stressful To Support Peter Obi Despite Contributing To His Campaign – Isaac Fayose

Isaac Fayose, younger brother of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has shared his opinion on the reason Yorubas find it stressful to support the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

In a Facebook post over the weekend, Fayose explained that Igbos don’t trust Yorubas, hence it is stressful to support Obi’s presidential ambition.

He insisted that Igbos do not trust themselves therefore it would be far-fetched to expect them to extend such courtesy toward other tribes.

Fayose opined that despite Yoruba’s donating financially to Obi’s campaign, they still don’t trust him.

He wrote: “Supporting Peter Obi is so stressful for a Yoruba person. The Igbos don’t trust themselves so how do I even expect them to trust me?

“I gave my hotel, Time, money, sometimes my food bank, and my space. They still abuse me every day.”

Naija News reports that Fayose had earlier stated that the All Progressives Congress, (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu is the strongest contender amongst the top three presidential candidates.

He said the sit-at-home order in the Southeast and the agitation for Biafra would relegate Obi.

The former Governor of Anambra State has enjoyed massive support from Nigerians across the country, including the Southwest.

The top three presidential candidates are LP’s Peter Obi, APC’s Tinubu, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
