Who is snooker player Kyren Wilson and what is his net worth?

KYREN WILSON has reached the semi-finals of the World Snooker Championship despite an extremely difficult build-up to the tournament.

The current world No 12, who is a massive Chelsea fan, has been in stunning form at The Crucible Theatre, beating Dominic Dale, Joe O’Connor and John Higgins to set up a final four battle against David Gilbert.

Who is Kyren Wilson?

Kyren Wilson was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire, on December 23, 1991.

As a youngster, he attended an academy run by former world champion Peter Ebdon.

As he developed as a snooker player he competed in junior tournaments, with his mum driving on the day of matches as they couldn’t afford overnight stays in hotels.

In an interview with Betway, Kyren said of his parents Rob and Sonya Wilson: “They’ve re-mortgaged the house a few times to support my career.

“I’m a lucky lad, really.”

Kyren played his first UK and World Championship in the 2010-11 season after turning professional, but failed to break through to the ranking events.

Playing again as an amateur, he made it back to the professional circuit in the 2013-14 season.

In 2020, he reached his highest world ranking of fourth.

The 2024 tournament is the fourth time Wilson has been at the semi-final, he reached the final in 2020 but lost to Ronnie O’Sullivan.
