‘What’s happening here’ gasps commentator as he’s left speechless by ‘ridiculous’ leg in Luke Littler semi-final

LUKE LITTLER and Michael Smith put on a “pub darts” display at the O2 during their Premier League Darts semi-final.

During the eighth leg of their match, Littler led Smith by a score of 5-2.

Littler, 17, had the chance to check out on 88.

He hit his treble 20 but then failed to finish the leg when missing two darts for a double 14.

Bully Boy was up next, needing a T18 and D16 for the win.

Smith, 33, hit a pair of 18s before aiming for a bullseye, which he missed and instead landed on 25.

The Nuke went back to the oche needing a D14, but hit a normal 14 to change his aim to a D7, which he also missed for a normal seven before hitting a three to give him a target of four.

Smith had his second chance to claim the leg by hitting a five and D10.

The former World Champion hit the five with ease, but then only landed his final dart in the 10, prompting him to show a frustrated look.

Needing a D4, Littler stepped up. However, he once again missed his mark with a two and switched to a D1 before hitting just one and breaking his throw.

Inside Littler’s massive rise

LUKE LITTLER has taken the darts world by storm since exploding onto the scene at the PDC World Championship.

The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age – smashing records along the way.

He has since joined Jude Bellingham on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list.

And the teenage titan even had to snub an invite from the WWE.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Littler is plotting to create a fitness empire.

He is also cashing in away from the Oche thanks to an Instagram side hustle.

And he’s even the face of a brand new cereal.

PABut Littler eventually won the leg at the fourth time of asking[/caption]

Smith stepped up for attempt three, but sensationally missed his first two darts before landing in five to bring his checkout score needed to five.

Littler went up for a staggering fourth leg-winner attempt, and this time managed to hit his target at the first time of asking.

It came as a Sky Sports commentator called the leg “a complete nonsense” and asked “what’s happening here”.

Fans flooded the comments to react to the astonishing leg of darts, with one writing: “That leg was me playing in my bedroom.”

A second said: “Pub darts.”

Another said: “Just like watching me play.”

A fourth added: “Darts is a crazy sport .”

Littler went on to secure his spot in the final by winning the match 10-5.

He hit an average of 100.3, had just five trebleless visits and hit a 38 per cent success rate on his doubles compared to Smith’s 95,17 average, 11 trebleless visits and 29 per cent doubles success.
