What it would bring voting Tinubu – Shettima on Oil, Gas, and Solid Minerals (Part 2)
The Oil and Gas sector of the economy is Nigeria’s major source of revenue. That being the fact hasn’t been able to be managed properly. Every year, the country seems to be having a lot of shortcomings in transforming the industry into what is supposed to be. With this happening every time, it calls for a reformation.
A lot of people have seen the Oil and Gas sector as a sector that can’t be transformed due to the high level of corruption that has transpired in recent times. Without effective leadership, there is going forward for this industry. What is needed is effective leadership to effect radical transformation.
It is so clear that a true leader with a vision is needed to transform the Oil and gas sector. If elected, Tinubu – Shettima, there would be no need for a subsidy because there would be transparency in the system. This would invite more supply from local refineries which will create a large push in the demand and supply market. When this happens, the price won’t be determined by a certain set of individuals but with the effect of the demand and supply forces.
Things can happen unexpectedly as long as the economy is concerned. This is why the Tinubu – Shettima administration will bring about the strategic reserve for petroleum products should in case of shortage. This is an administration that is thinking ahead of present circumstances which are causing sabotage in the economy.
Our solid mineral resources will be used as an export commodity and used here to develop creativity and drive a force for employment in the country. The youths by far have been able to showcase various talents in multiple areas. The solid mineral resources of the country will enhance productivity thereby driving more output.
The Tinubu-Shettima government will work on sponsoring legislation to devolve the solid mineral sector. One of the major reasons for this is to expand the access of the solid mineral resources down to the state level where everyone gets to partake in the use of it. While this is being done, the Federal government can focus more on exploration, research and development to promote the inflow of investors into the country at large.
All these can only be done if we all make good use of our voting power to elect the ideal candidate, Tinubu- Shettima into the office to fulfill this mission. It is in our hands, let’s make it count and our generations will be glad we took this decision come the 2023 elections.
