Tinubu Secretly Returns To Nigeria, Cancels US Trip Over Fatigue – Reports

Reports emerging on Saturday morning alleged that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has secretly returned to Nigeria from London, the United Kingdom.

Naija News reports that the presidential hopeful had embarked on the foreign trip since last weekend.

While abroad, the former Governor of Lagos State availed himself for an interactive session at the Chatham House, London.

Among many other engagement is an interview with the BBC. Reports, however, on Saturday claimed that the APC presidential candidate has cancelled his trip to the United States over fatique.

It is alleged that the APC candidate very tired and exhausted, hence couldn’t continue with other engagement in the foreign country.

A report by SaharaReporters alleged that Tinubu was back to the country but there were no airport ceremonies or photographs released to the public about his return.

“Tinubu has secretly returned to Nigeria. The campaign team did not release any airport ceremonies or photos to the public. This could be due to fatigue on the ailing candidate. Tinubu returned home by 3am this morning (Saturday) without fanfare,” the news platform quoted a source.

Naija News understands that the ruling party had declared earlier that Tinubu would be embarking on a trip to UK, US and two other countries for his electioneering campaign.

Tinubu’s trip according to the party was for him to meet global leaders regarding his presidential aspiration.

However, there have been concerns over Tinubu’s presidential bid considering his health challenges, though his presidential campaign council has repeatedly debunked any health issue.

The Director New Media of Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council, Femi Fani-Kayode, however, could not respond to calls and messages from our correspondent to confirm the latest development.

Also, the spokesman of the APC presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, was not available to pick his calls neither has he responded to messages sent across to him as of reporting time, Naija News reports.
