THE SACRIFICE OF BENEVOLENCE

“And when she had done giving drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.” Genesis 24:19

The sacrifice of benevolence is the sacrifice of giving. The sacrifice of giving is the strange action behind giving. Giving is open hand for open blessing. The sacrifice of giving is the move of generosity in the society. The benevolence life is charitable life.

From our preceding scripture, Rebecca connected her destiny husband by the act of giving. When Abraham instructed his servants to harness a good wife for his son Isaac from his wife`s (Sarah) kindred; the servants took a wise step to accomplish that journey. Mind you, Rebecca was not the only lady, who came to fetch water by that well on the faithful day. Moreover, and by my studies; the ladies in that jurisdiction were fair in complexion. But what fetched or distinguished Rebecca from amongst her colleagues was her lifestyle of giving. And giving is the lifestyle of the generation of Abraham. Rebecca gives water to the servants of Abraham, and also went extra mile to give water to their camels until they were all satisfied. Mind you, Rebecca never knew them from anywhere; so, giving was in her genes; and she was also from a family that gives.

Until you give by sacrifice, you may constantly lack strange harvest. Giving precedes living. And living is the fruit of giving. Rebecca gave water and her time out to strange people, and she harvested a good husband for destiny fulfillment. What you give determines what you collect. When you give what you have, you will collect or harvest what you don`t have, which you need. Giving is not necessarily money; whatever God gives to you per time is capable of lifting someone else. The giving of sacrifice helps to receive the harvest of sacrifice. It is the rate you give that determines the rate you collect. Givers never experience lack for any reason. God will never let you experience dryness, if you are a supplier of answers to people.

God gave until He gave Himself to the world (John 3:16). Same way, God wants us to give, until it becomes our lifestyle. Until we make giving our constant living, our harvest will be sporadic. Remember that you always have what to give, because there is nobody that is emptied of substance, depending on the direction you sees it. God will never request from you what He has not given you; because God is not draconian in nature. If you don`t have what to give, it is not a crime telling God to give you to the overflow so you can have what to give; because the Bible says “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” 2 Cor. 9:10.  Which means He withdraws seeds from those who don`t sow or give; and He feed those who feed others.

Beloved, live a life of giving, and you will never come to a point of living a life of hopeless in life. And if you are a giver, expect strange harvest this season, because God is planning a strange supply in your direction.
