Sky Sports Racing presenter says ‘I can only apologise’ as punters react to ‘hot as fire’ bikini selfie

SKY Sports Racing presenter Kate Tracey joked she could ‘only apologise’ after fans picked up on one very specific aspect of her bikini bathroom selfie.

Tracey posted a photo on Twitter of herself enjoying her summer holidays in the skimpy outfit.

But it was what was on her head that had some punters commenting on her taste.

Tracey was wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap – and it appeared one or two took exception.

In reply to one follower who said ‘not the New York Yankees!’ Tracey replied: “I can only apologise.”

While she said to another who didn’t like the hate: “Didn’t realise it was this triggering for some.”

Tracey has been an increasingly popular presence on the Sky Racing channel and hosts the tipping show Weekend Winners.

She combines this with fronting William Hill’s coverage of the Racing League.

Her pathway into the sport happened pretty much by accident though – following an afternoon at the races that would have put most people off the sport.

Tracey said in one interview: “My first ever race meeting was on a dreary, mid-week jump card at Worcester in August 1999.

“The weather was awful and the calibre of racing was even worse.

“There was a bumper horse in the last race called Red Radish, whose name I will never forget because he got loose and caused about a half an hour delay to the concluding bumper.

“Barely a soul had hung around for the last race.

“However, my Dad and I were having the greatest day that we stayed to the bitter end after they had eventually rescued Red Radish from Worcester town centre and the race was finally able to start.

“Ever since that day, I have never wanted to do anything else in my life but work in horse racing.”

Tracey brings a wealth of racing knowledge to her TV role having worked for trainers including Polly Gundry and Philip Hobbs.
