Richarlison takes weeks to hit back at Premier League rivals after they mocked him for getting more bookings than goals

RICHARLISON has finally hit back at two Premier League stars who have mocked him for his celebrations.

West Ham forward Michail Antonio, 33, and Newcastle striker Callum Wilson, 31, were in stitches as they discussed the Brazilian’s unfortunate goal celebrations this season.

The Tottenham star finally bagged his first Premier League goal for the club on April 30 when he dramatically headed home a stoppage time equaliser against Liverpool at Anfield.

Richarlison, 25, went wild upon hitting the back of the net, taking his shirt off and shushing the home fans before performing his “pigeon” celebration alongside team-mate Son Heung-min.

Unfortunately for the Brazilian, Lucas Moura’s ill-judged pass played in Diogo Jota just moments later – with the Portuguese forward winning it for the Reds.

Discussing Richarlison on The Footballers’ Football Podcast, Antonio said: “He’s scored four goals this season, three of the times he’s been offside. He has taken his top off four times this season.”

Through laughter, England international Wilson added: “He’s got four yellows he’s almost on a suspension.”

Now after the footage went viral, the Samba ace, who scored three times for his country at the World Cup, has not hit back by commenting on the TikTok video – almost a month later.

Richarlison wrote: “How many goals do both have [at] the World Cup?”

Richarlison had only been booked three times at that point of the season, and only once for celebrating a disallowed goal.

That came back in September against Fulham, when he removed his shirt after thinking he’d put his side 3-1 up, only for Ryan Sessegnon to be deemed offside in the build-up.

He subsequently scored twice against Marseille in the Champions League, but didn’t remove his shirt on either occasion.

Aside from after his celebrations against Fulham and Liverpool, Richarlison’s other yellow card came for dissent during August’s 1-1 draw at Antonio’s West Ham.

He also had a goal disallowed against Nottingham Forest in March, but did not remove his shirt on that occasion.
