Plane Crash: Tanzanian PM Leads Funeral Procession

In the aftermath of the death of 19 people in a plane crash in Tanzania, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa conducted the funeral service for the missing passengers on Monday.

According to the regional commissioner, Albert Chalamila, the prayers took place at the Bukoba football stadium in the northwest of the country.

The airliner of operator Precision Air, Tanzania’s largest private airline, crashed after being damaged with 43 passengers on board on Sunday morning.

“I send my condolences to you all for your great loss. I also want to assure you that we will not rest until the investigation is complete and we know exactly what the cause of this accident was. particular, what

happened to cause the plane to crash.” said Kassim Majaliwa, Prime Minister of Tanzania.

The accident happened near the shore of Lake Victoria, at the end of the runway at Bukoba airport, while travelling from the capital, Dar es Salaam.

24 people survived after being helped by rescuers and fishermen.
