PFA Player of the Year 22/23 odds: Erling Haaland favourite, Arsenal and Tottenham trio ahead of Liverpool star Salah

MANCHESTER CITY striker Erling Haaland is odds-on favourite to be crowned PFA Player of the Year.

That’s according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who’ve installed the Norwegian superstar at 4/9 to collect the award in his debut campaign.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah won the honour last season, but looks unlikely to clinch his third at odds of 40/1.

Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka also feature prominently in the betting market.

But Sky Bet are confident that Haaland will eventually top the poll, which is voted for by PFA members and will be dished out around June.

Haaland arrived at the Etihad from Borussia Dortmund for £51.2million and has hit the ground running.

He’s scored 23 goals and provided three assists in 18 competitive appearances, including four braces and three top-flight hat-tricks.

His closest competition is Manchester City colleague Kevin De Bruyne, who is priced at 5/1.

The Belgian became just the third player to win back-to-back awards back in 2021, following Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Gabriel Jesus trails at 12/1 but that price could soon shrink if Arsenal continue their impressive displays.

The Brazil international, 25, has netted five goals and provided seven assists since his switch from City earlier this year.

If he’s successful, Jesus would become the first Arsenal player to win PFA Player of the Year since Thierry Henry in 2004.

Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka follow next at 16/1 and 28/1 respectively, while Mohamed Salah and Phil Foden are locked together at 40s.

Gabriel Martinelli, Granit Xhaka, Marcus Rashford, Martin Odegaard and Newcastle’s Miguel Almiron are all offered at a bumper 60/1.
