Peter Obi: Reno Omokri Wonders What Jesus Would Have Done To Politicians Chasing Votes In Churches

A former presidential aide during former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, Reno Omokri has come out to wonder what Jesus Christ would have done to politicians chasing votes in churches.

According to him, Jesus in his days whiped and chased money changers out of the Temple, so he can only imagine what He would do to politicians like the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

Naija News gathered that Omokri took to social media to accuse Obi of seeking votes in churches and comparing the act to people who desecrated the Temple in the days of Christ.

He alleged that Obi wasn’t going to church for God’s sake, neither was he going to win souls or better his spiritual life, he was only going there to seek votes.

His reaction follows Obi’s visit to an annual programme of the Living Faith Church tagged Shiloh.

Naija News reported that Obi was present at the annual Living Faith programme, Shiloh in Canaan Land, Ota, Ogun State, on Thursday, where he was introduced by the church’s Vice President, David Abioye.

It would be recalled that a socio-political activist, Deji Adeyanju mocked Obi for not securing an open endorsement from the founder of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo.

However, Omokri noted that Obi was only visiting churches because of the singular reason, which is his political ambition and nothing else.

The former presidential aide, who insinuated that Christ would have punished Obi for desecrating the temple wrote “Peter Obi is not visiting churches for God or Christ, or to win souls, or to grow spiritually. He goes to churches for votes. Christ made a whip and chased money changers from the Temple. What do you think He would do to politicians chasing votes in the Temple? #TableShaker.”
