Obasanjo, Obi, Adebanjo Visit Ohanaeze Headquarters In Enugu [Photos]

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the leader of the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo, visited the headquarters of the Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in Enugu State.

Naija News reports that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, also visited the Ohanaeze headquarters on Sunday.

Obi, who shared photos of the visit, said they signed the condolence register for Mbazulike Amaechi, at the Ohanaeze Ndigbo headquarters.

Recall that Amaechi, who was Nigeria’s first minister of aviation, died on November 1.

“I joined President Obasanjo and Pa Ayo Adebanjo at the Ohaneze Headquarters in Enugu to sign the condolence register for late Chief Mbazulike Amaechi. The team was received by Chief Ogene Okeke,” Obi wrote in a post on Twitter.

Earlier, Obasanjo, Adebanjo; and Obi arrived in Enugu State for the birthday colloquium of former President General of Ohanaeze, John Nwodo.

Dressed in a native Igbo tunic and red cap, Obasanjo was received at the airport alongside Adebanjo by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

At the birthday celebration, the former president served as the Chairman of the event.
