Actor Jim Iyke Speaks On Dumping Christianity For Islam

Three months ago, Jim Iyke reacted to the rumours making the rounds that he has dumped Christianity for Islam.

Naija News recalls that the actor’s reaction came after a Twitter user shared a photo of him wearing a Jalamia and holding a Muslim prayer bead referred to as Tasbih.

The netizen tweeted: “I heard that the popular Nollywood actor ‘Jim Iyke’ has revert to Islam. Alhamdulillah!! Welcome to ISLAM, religion of peace. We welcome you wholeheartedly”

Reacting, however, to the post which had generated some reactions on social media, Jim Iyke in a video shared on his Instagram page faulted the claims.

The actor said he usually does not pay attention to some aimless rumours but there are certain lines that should not be crossed. Jim Iyke said the photos making the round is from a movie he acted in Ghana about religious fanatics and someone took the pictures.

The actor added that he respects all religions but has no intention to convert his faith and that the rumours should be laid to rest.
