Nigerians Will Appreciate Buhari’s Efforts After 2023 – Bashir Ahmad

Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad has disclosed the effort of President Muhammadu Buhari will be more appreciated after the expiration of his tenure in 2023.

In a post via his Facebook page on Monday, Ahmad said President Buhari’s government has made reforms that will eventually pay off before the next president is elected.

The Personal Assistant on New Media to President Buhari claimed that his principal has set the country on the right track for the incoming president to succeed.

He wrote: “The motto that President Buhari has taken will not be seen in public now until after he leaves office. He has set this country on the right track that any incumbent leader should set. Some reform plans are inevitable, but eventually, they will pay off permanently.”

Ahmad’s statement follows President Buhari’s comments in a recent interview that he expects Nigerians to agree with him when he leaves office in 2023 that he has done his best.

The President said he doesn’t expect any form of appreciation other than that from Nigerians.

Highlighting that he has spent his youthful years in the service of the country, Buhari recalled that he has served in various capacities including as a Governor, Minister, military President, and two-term democratic President, and has given his best in all the positions.

He had said: “I’ve given my best, and I hope after I leave, Nigerians will reflect. I’m not expecting any appreciation but what I’m expecting is for Nigerians to say this man has done his best. That’s what I’m expecting from Nigerians.
