Neymar names dream five-a-side team with Lionel Messi – but picks Paul Pogba instead of naming a keeper

DREAMS do come true – or at least they do for Neymar.

When asked to pick his perfect five-a-side selection back in 2020 he selected Lionel Messi – the icon who he played alongside at both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian forgot to name a goalkeeper when asked for his dream five-a-side team

But the Brazilian, who is on the verge of a stunning £2.7million-a-week move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, forgot to select a goalkeeper.

Kylian Mbappe and Eden Hazard made the cut as the forward insisted upon a forward thinking set-up that leaves Paul Pogba as the most defensive player.

In fairness, any side facing such a team would probably never get the ball off them anyway.

Another of Neymar’s former Barcelona colleagues Luis Suarez features with Mbappe also joining the winger.

No Brazil stars were selected by the 31-year-old because he was asked not to in the chat with Red Bull.

Neymar also selected a five-a-side team based on retired players and that too showed disregard for all things defence.

Four Premier League legends were called up: Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and David Beckham.

Spanish playmaker legend and Barcelona boss, Xavi completed that quintet as once again a goalkeeper went missing.

Meanwhile, Neymar has undergone a medical at Al-Hila ahead of his switch from PSG.

The £198m most-expensive footballer on the planet informed PSG last week that he wants to leave after six years at Parc des Princes.

He was not in the squad for their Ligue 1 opener versus Lorient at the weekend with boss Luis Enrique now keen to cash-in on him, having made it clear to the club that he wants to build a younger team.

Neymar had asked his representatives to find him a new team and his father has reportedly had meetings with Al-Hilal.

The Saudi side appear to have convinced him to join as various sources are claiming that he is having a medical before penning a two-year deal.

The deal could be completed in the next two days after a fee of £86.3m has allegedly been agreed.

He has not played since March after going under the knife for reconstructive ankle ligament surgery.

Now he looks set to have ex-Chelsea star Kalidou Koulibaly, former Wolves ace Ruben Neves and £60m winger Malcom as team-mates once he is fit to return to action.
