NBVB Male And Female Teams Set For Beach Volleyball World Cup In Morocco

All is now set for the departure of the Nigeria Beach Volleyball Federation (NVBF) contingent to the 2022 Beach Volleyball World Cup in Morocco.

The contingent, comprising both male and female teams are expected to put up a good show at the competition billed to hold between July 25 and August 2.

President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod in aclosed door meeting with the contingent on Saturday July 23, urged the contingent to make Nigeria proud.

In an interview with sports writers after he met with the players, coaches and other officials, Nimrod said that by God’s grace they are heading off for Morroco for Senior Beach Volleyball World Cup.

“National Beach Volleyball Teams male and female have been at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna preparing to make Nigeria proud in Morocco,” he said.

According to him, “They are departing Nigeria tomorrow Sunday and hope to be in Marco same day.

The competition starts July 25 and ends on August 2, “We are going with both male and female teams A and B, with one coach and a referee,” he said.

Nimrod said the Federation raised funds for the tickets and other logistics for this competition.

“We all know how dollar rate is now at about N650 to the Naira, which makes it very fund sapping adding that besides the tickets, we are also giving them some little stipends and we also provide accomodation and feeding,” he said.

“We pray for success and victory, but we will not say we will win, the most important thing is to prepare the prayers. for success, many countries are wary of Nigeria, because they dread the country ‘s under aged teams”.

“Even FIVB recognizes NIgeria that we are very strong in under age teams,” he submitted.

Head Coach of the team, Kayode Ajilore in his contribution said that the players have been in camp for two weeks and have been prepared physically and mentally.

He expressed hope that with their level of training, they will go into the competition and do their best.
