Man Utd boost as Sofyan Amrabat and Sergio Reguilon spotted back in training… but give worrying Casemiro update

MANCHESTER UNITED fans received a huge injury boost today ahead of Saturday’s trip to Sheffield United – before being handed some worrying news.

Sofyan Amrabat and Sergio Reguilon were spotted back in training in a welcome sign after the international break.

But there could be a fresh injury blow for the Red Devils, with Casemiro absent from training to recover from a knock in Brazil.

Erik ten Hag’s side travel to the Blades on Saturday night having lost two of their previous three matches.

United crashed to home defeats against Crystal Palace and Galatasaray before the internationals.

And they almost made it three on the bounce before Scott McTominay’s timely late brace rescued victory against Brentford.

Ten Hag has had to deal with a stack of problems this season, including a public spat with Jadon Sancho and allegations of abuse aimed at winger Antony, which he firmly denies.

However, United have also had a big problem with injuries across all areas of their squad.

From defence to attack, Ten Hag has been forced to play stars in various positions to make up for several long-term absentees.

But he could welcome back defender Reguilon to his side on Saturday, with the Spurs loanee missing United’s last four matches.

It means Ten Hag will finally have a left-back available.

And that’s good news for midfielder Amrabat, who had been filling in there after his own injury problems.

The Morocco ace sat out his country’s recent matches against Liberia and Ivory Coast with a fresh knock.

But he and Reguilon were seen training at Carrington on Thursday, with both men pushing to start this weekend.

However, United could be without Casemiro, who is still in Brazil after picking up an ankle problem on international duty.

The midfielder has been below-par this term.

And United hope he can shake off his setback in the comforts of his homeland before rejoining team-mates for the battle ahead.

Fans reacted to the club’s latest injury update, with one saying: “Welcome back lads.”

Another declared: “We will be there no matter what.”

One added: “Good news from our training camp.”
