Makinde: Election Results From Teslim Folarin’s Polling Unit Emerges

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18, 2023 governorship election, Senator Teslim Folarin, lost his polling unit to Governor Seyi Makinde.

Recall that Governor Makinde is seeking reelection on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the party which brought him to power.

Results announced earlier by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials show that Makinde won his polling unit.

Subsequent collation also shows that the incumbent governor and member of the PDP G5 (five aggrieved party governors), defeated Folarin, his closest opponent in the governorship race.

Naija News reports that the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District belonged to Ward 5, Polling Unit II, in Idi Ose, Akanran, in the Ona Ara local government area of Oyo state.

Results from the polling unit showed that Folarin polled 89 votes, Adelabu polled 6 votes, while Makinde polled 196 votes.
