Having now lost two of the three finals in which he has competed, the teen sensation has now opted for a new look.

Taking to Instagram, Littler’s barber showed off a picture of the Nuke in the barber’s chair.

He sported freshly cut sides and a spruced up top.

Littler, 17, was visiting Hamido barbers in Warrington.

The post was captioned: “Back for a freshen up.”

He will hope the sleek new do will help shake him back into form after he missed two match-winning darts in the Berlin final.

Littler got off to a dream start as he broke the Dutchman in the very first leg before holding his own throw to take a 2-0 lead.

Van Gerwen then got on the scoreboard by taking the third leg and broke back to seize the initiative at 2-2.

The pair then each held throw but Littler looked nervy as he struggled to find treble 20.

Mighty went 4-3 up after a tense leg in which Littler threatened to break, but to no avail.

Littler then narrowly held his own throw to restore parity at 4-4, before then moving to 5-5.

He then missed a decisive dart by centimetres in the final leg to allow Van Gerwen to snatch victory.

He will next be in action at the opening weekend of the Players Championship in Wigan on February 12-13.
