But the teen sensation was finally downed by Dutch star Kuivenhoven 6-3 in their last 16 clash in Wigan on Wednesday night.
However, it didn’t seem to bother ‘The Nuke’ as he posted on Instagram: “Enjoyed the last few days for sure.”
Michael van Gerwen, who Littler beat in the World Series semis on Sunday night, went on to win in Wigan, beating Dave Chisnall 8-7 in the final, with an average just shy of 107.
MVG said: “I played really well, the scoring power was there.
“Then this game can be a bit easier.
“I’m pleased with my performance, I’m using my darts and they are going well.
“Everybody is a winner.
“In loads of these, I’ve underperformed. To be back on this tour and to win one, it feels good of course.
“I want to win, I want to perform. I know there’s still a lot more to gain and a lot more to fight for.
Inside Littler’s massive rise
LUKE LITTLER has taken the darts world by storm since exploding onto the scene at the PDC World Championship at the beginning of the year.
The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age – smashing records along the way.
He has then gone on to win a host of PDC events and the Premier League title – which he claimed at the O2 Arena by beating world champion Luke Humphries in May.
He also finished his first season in the World Series as the No1 ranked player.
He has joined Jude Bellingham on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list.
And the teenage titan even had to snub an invite from the WWE.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Littler is plotting to create a fitness empire.
He is also cashing in away from the Oche thanks to an Instagram side hustle.
And he’s even the face of a brand new cereal.
But he is newly single after splitting from girlfriend Eloise Milburn following a 10-month relationship.

“I should have won the Matchplay, I gave that one away. That’s part of darts as well. It is what it is.
“For me the most important thing is that I keep believing. It gives you joy, it gives you pleasure.
“There’s still a lot to work for. You need to make sure you are ready.”
