Luke Littler becomes £275,000 richer as he beats Luke Humphries in thrilling Premier League Darts final aged just 17

LUKE LITTLER finally got revenge for his World Championship heartbreak as he lifted the Premier League Darts trophy following a win over Luke Humphries.

Luke The Nuke had been stewing on his brutal slip at the final hurdle for some four months, but finally managed to go one step further tonight.

Littler had booked his spot in the final pairing after a 10-5 blitzing of Michael Smith in the semi-final earlier in the night.

While Humphries had pulled off a 10-5 victory for himself over Michael van Gerwen.

But when the two Lukes came face to face – in what was the first ever all-debutant Premier League final in history – it was Littler who got the better of his namesake.

Littler’s cool head on young shoulders wound out on top of Humphries’ “cool hands” in an enthralling back and forth.

After heading in at the break tied at five legs a piece – Littler came out firing hitting a stunning nine darter to secure the 11th leg for himself.

And with a raucous O2 right behind him, he rode the wave straight to a 11-7 win.

The youngster averaged over 105 and got nine 180s to lift the trophy and write his name in darts history.
