Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest preview
Liverpool will be confident of recording a third-consecutive victory at Anfield this weekend when out-of-touch Nottingham Forest visit.
The Reds enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 win in the Merseyside derby last weekend before hammering Toulouse 5-1 in the Europa League on Thursday.
They did so with several first-team players on the bench, but the likes of Mohamed Salah, Allison, Virgil van Dijk and Luis Diaz should return to the starting XI feeling fresh.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 24 home league games against Nottingham Forest (W19 D5), while they’ve lost just one of their last 46 Premier League games at Anfield.
It looks a stiff task for Steve Cooper’s side, who have shown a lack of ruthlessness this season.
Forest have only lost one of their last five, but they haven’t won any of those and blew a two-goal lead against promoted Luton Town last weekend.
Saying that, they have given a good account of themselves on the road this year, beating Chelsea and pushing Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal all the way.

Dominik Szoboszlai has hit the ground running at Liverpool.
Granted, he’s scored once and not provided an assist in 12 appearances – but it’s not for want of trying. The Hungarian, 23, has created the most chances for Liverpool in the Premier League this season (21).
