PDP Reacts As Terrorists Flog Kidnapped Victims, Threaten To Kidnap Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has slammed the Muhammadu Buhari-led government over the action of bandit terrorists who subjected the kidnapped victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack to severe beating.

The opposition PDP stated that the dehumanisation of the victims is proof that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed in every aspect.

Naija News reports that the PDP spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, stated this during a press conference on Monday in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

It will be recalled that as earlier reported by Naija News, a video showing terrorists flogging victims of the Kaduna-Abuja train attack has surfaced online.

In the video, the terrorists are seen flogging some of the victims kidnapped on the Kaduna-bound train on March 28, 2022.

The gunmen in the video also boasted that they would destroy the country, kill the remaining passengers in their custody and sell out the others.

The terrorists also threatened to kidnap and kill President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.

Ologunagba said the PDP is deeply saddened, alarmed and distressed by the video which establishes that the victims have been in the terrorists’ den for at least 120 days.

Lawmakers Deny Alleged Plan To Impeach Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila

Lawmakers in the House of Representatives on Tuesday distanced themselves from an alleged plan to impeach the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila.

There had been reports (not from Naija News) that the Northern Caucus in the lower chamber has the intention to impeach Gbajabiamila over the controversial Water Resources Bill.

The controversial Water Resources Bill, which seeks to bring all water resources (surface and underground) and the banks of the water sources under the control of the Federal Government, was first introduced in the 8th Assembly.

The bill was rejected by the lawmakers in the 8th Assembly.

The bill was again reintroduced in the House of Representatives chamber on June 29.
