2023: Tinubu Appoints Former Edo Governor Head Of Campaign Think Tank

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has appointed the former Governor of Edo State, Oserheimen Osunbor, as the head of a 65-man campaign think tank.
Naija News reports that the Director General of the Tinubu Campaign Organisation, Adebayo Shittu, made this known on Wednesday during the inauguration of the think thank in Abuja.

The former Minister of Communications said Osunbor would be assisted by two serving vice-chancellors, retired military generals and others.

Shittu said that the think tank will formulate the expectations of Nigerians from the Tinubu presidency into a workable action plan if the former Lagos State Governor emerge as the next President in 2023.

The former minister said that the action plan would seek to return to Nigerians a realistic hope that guarantees progressive change and transformative governance.

He expressed hope that once the right policies are evolved and implemented, the youths and all Nigerians would ensure and be assured of a peaceful, secure, collaborative progressive and prosperous Nigeria.

2023: Aregbesola’s Ally Dumps APC For PDP

An ally of the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, Wale Bolorunduro has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Bolorunduro announced his defection on Wednesday while speaking to journalists in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, Naija News reports.

He said his decision to dump the ruling APC was in the interest of his followers and families and not for political patronage in the opposition PDP.

The former Commissioner for Finance said the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola has failed to live up to its expectations and had gone beyond redemption with deceit, injustice and lack of fairness.

Bolorunduro said the leadership of the APC in the state had sidelined him to the extent that he was not involved in the matter concerning it even in his ward.

2023: Taraba SDP Denies Planned Merger With APC

Taraba state chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), on Thursday denied the speculation making the round that plans were on the way to merge with the All Progressives Congress (APC), to challenge the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2023 general election in Taraba state.

Hon. Danladi Baido, the governorship candidate of SDP debunked the rumour on behalf of the party during the official unveiling of the Party’s governorship running mate in Jalingo.

He expressed that the SDP was confident of winning the 2023 governorship election in Taraba and was not willing in any way to merge with the APC.

According to Baido, the speculation was a cheap blackmail against his person and the SDP in Taraba to discourage supporters from their good plans for the SDP.

2023: Tee Mac Reveals Tinubu’s Alleged Age, Claims To Be In-Law

A former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Tee Mac, has revealed the alleged age of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

Tee Mac claimed that Tinubu is 86 years old as he warned Nigerians against voting for the former governor of Lagos State in 2023.

According to the renowned flutist who said Tinubu is his in-law, the APC presidential candidate is not fit to rule Nigeria.

He condemned Tinubu for not revealing his real age, source of wealth and background despite his agenda to rule Nigeria.

Tee Mac stated this while reacting to a Facebook post by one Yemi Olakitan, who declared support for Tinubu.

He further stated that he stopped visiting Tinubu when he sold Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians in 2015.

Primary: Aspirant Drags APC To Court Over Irregularities During Election

An aspirant for the Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Mohammed Al-Basir has dragged the party to court over the recently conducted primary election.

Naija News reports that the aspirant also dragged the House of Representatives member, Ari Abdulmumuni who was declared the winner of the election held on May 29, 2022.

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday after the case was adjourned, counsel to the plaintiff, Mathew Bukaa, insisted that his client won the election.

The attorney explained that Al-Basir had been declared the winner of the election and they wanted the court to uphold that declaration because it had not been set aside by any court.

PDP Woos APC Presidential Aspirant With Gov’ship Ticket

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is making a move to lure a former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nicholas Felix to the party.

The main opposition party has the agenda of presenting Felix with the Edo State governorship ticket of the party in 2024 if he joins the party.

This is coming months after Felix claimed that the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu, did not reach out to him because he supported the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, during the presidential primary of the ruling party.

Felix, in an interview with Punch, claimed that some supporters of Tinubu accused him of betrayal and trying to blackmail their principal.

‘APC Trying To Normalize Recession After Turning Nigeria Upside Down’ – PDP Senatorial Candidate

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate in Ogun State Olumide Aderinokun has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of trying to normalize recession in the country.

In an interview with DAILY POST, Aderinokun expressed displeasure over what he called the sudden decline in the country’s crude oil surplus account, the depreciation of the Naira, and the string of terrorist attacks in the Federal Capital Territory and other regions of the country.

The senatorial aspirant said the ruling party has turned the country upside down but still trying to get praise for driving the country to predictable debt crises with no economic achievement.

2023: Almighty God Is Against Muslim/Muslim Ticket – Dogara

A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has condemned the Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dogara who described God as a God of justice stated that the Almighty is against the agenda of the ruling party in 2023.

He further stated that the stand of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on the Muslim/Muslim ticket is godly.

Dogara stated this on Wednesday while speaking during a symposium on the leadership crises in Nigeria, which was held in Abuja.

The programme was part of activities marking the 12th General Assembly of CAN.

2023: ADC’s Kachikwu Unveils Buhari As Running Mate

The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has unveiled Ahmed Buhari as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.

Naija News reports that he unveiled Buhari, a consultant in the oil and gas sector, in Abuja on Wednesday.

Speaking during the event, Kachikwu described Buhari as someone with the capacity to unite Nigeria.

He said: “Buhari has over 18 years experience as a professional and is both physically and theologically fit to occupy the office of the Vice-President.

“He is very intellectual and is ready for office from day one come 2023.”

You Can’t Stop Nigerians From Speaking Against Bad Government – Activist Warns Peter Obi

A human rights activist, Paul Njoku, has stated that the presidential candidate of the Labor Party (LP), Peter Obi, has no right to stop Nigerians from expressing their dissatisfaction with the state of the nation.

Recall that Naija News earlier reported that the LP flagbearer had some weeks back warned his supporters against responding to any politician or presidential candidate that makes comments about him.

Obi had written: “I most sincerely appreciate all my supporters and those of LP. I love you all. I wish to appeal to you to allow me to personally respond to any CANDIDATE that makes comments about me.”

Speaking on Obi’s call for silence in a statement, Njoku insisted that such advice was against the fundamental human rights of Nigerians with respect to freedom of expression, opinion, among others, as guaranteed in the constitution.
