Keyamo Reacts As Fayose Mocks Tambuwal After His Anointed Candidate Loses Out In Sokoto

The Chief Spokesman for the All Progressives Congress, presidential campaign, Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the clip of former Governor of Ekiti, Ayo Fayose mocking the governor of Sokoto State Aminu Tambuwal after his anointed candidate, Saidu Umar lost the election.

Naija News earlier reported that Ahmed Aliyu of the All Progressives Congress(APC) was declared the winner of the Sokoto State Governorship election.

Aliyu polled a total of 453,661 votes to defeat his closest rival Saidu Umar of the PDP who polled a total vote of 404,632.

Reacting to the loss, Fayose via social media on Monday celebrated the victory of all the candidates in the APC and the People Democratic Party (PDP), wishing them happy tenure. However, he expressed particular joy for the loss of Tambuwal’s candidate in Sokoto State.

The former governor said the treacherous nature of Tambuwal is the reason for his defeat and that of his candidate in Sokoto, adding that Tambuwal’s loss is payback for all the betrayals he committed during his lifetime.

Reacting to Fayose’s statement, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment via Twitter wrote: “This is the shape of things to come in the PDP.

“When their leaders OPENLY celebrate the defeat of one another in elections, then the center can no longer hold. The battle for control of the PDP that is coming will be one of the fiercest ever. Let us grab our 40-year old whiskeys!”
