Kano: APC Members Ask Leaders To Punish Buhari’s Aide, Bashir For Attending World Cup In Qatar

Some All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Kano have asked the party leaders in the state to take measures against President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad, for ‘disregarding’ the party’s progress.

The members accused Bashir of ignoring his duties to the party and travelling to Qatar to attend the ongoing World Cup final.

One of the aggrieved leaders, Alhaji Samani Inuwa from Gaya Local Government, told newsmen that Bashir’s action was a call of concern to the party.

He said, “we cannot comprehend how Bashir Ahmad chooses to be in Qatar when in Kano we were in Gaya Local Government to launch the party gubernatorial and other positions campaigns

“If every member of the Party would act the way Bashir acted, we don’t think APC would make it to the elective offices, therefore a punishment should quickly be meted on him to serve as a deterrent to others.”

The party leaders also congratulated Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for ensuring a peaceful flag-off of the gubernatorial campaigns in Gaya, insisting that despite the odds of the likes of Bashir Ahmad, the APC would win Kano.

Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on Online Media, tweeted his photograph in a stadium in Qatar watching the World Cup.

The tweet attracted a lot of criticism from party members who described his action as unfortunate.
